Janet Davidsen, principal, is an award-winning interior designer and ASID member with 25 years of expertise. She creates clients for life with her talent and by offering clients a great design experience through listening to what clients really want, following up and being accessible, detailed, and accountable.
Her outstanding work in the interior design field was recognized in September 2005 with an ASID Design Excellence Award in the “singular residential space” category. The prestigious award was presented at the 2nd annual Celebration of Design gala at The Merchandise Mart in Chicago. In August 2011, Janet won 1st place in a furniture design competition sponsored by the Grange showroom in Chicago. The “Lizzie Chest” Janet designed was one of only seven semi-finalists in Grange’s national “Colorful Exceptions Design Contest.” It was manufactured in the Grange Furniture factory in Lyon, France, and went to auction benefitting “The Sunshine House” of Door County, Wisconsin. The chest was held on exhibit in the New York Grange showroom.
Janet has been an active Member of the American Society of Interior Designers since 1992. As the past president of the ASID-IL Chapter, Janet was responsible for representing the entire statewide membership and best interests of the chapter, and acted as its spokesperson and inspirational leader. Her priorities were to present members with opportunities that will enhance their business and design skill sets, such as incisive education and a strong partnership between designers, vendors and the media, all with communication as a main focus.

Janet received her bachelor of science in communications from Southern Illinois University and her interior design degree with high honors from the New York School of Interior Design in Manhattan.
